Once you get the hang of it, it can be really good fun.

A very easy way to take a photo, turn it into BW and color in specific areas again. It is easy to use, almost learning curve. Just one small issue with the "back" button, It should be restricted to the brush activity. I noticed when I toggle between BW and color, these actions are also saved and must cycle through them to get back to a previous state of the photo. Well done, cant go wrong for that price.

The App does not really more than anyone could do with Gimp, Pixelmator or Photoshop easily. Bought this app because i thought i could use it for quick editing in photos. But there is no Photos integration. Support says: "The thing is that ColorStrokes doesn`t work with Photos extension :(“ Would be 5 stars if worked with Photos, sorry

I try to work on a picture with this app and I just got very upset.

Had it on the iPod now its on the desktop! easy simple and effective app! love the work that has gone into this product !

Outstanding. Easy, powerful and worth every penny. No problems other than a little difficulty saving specific file types.

I paid $2 for this app. It works great, and allows you--very easily--to add a terrific effect to any picture. Its simple, but works well for what it was intended.

I dont often leave reviews as many apps leave me… well, without too much to say, but I downloaded this app last evening. I thought "for the price" I can bite and play. Well just played with some pics of a flowering Christmas cactus in front of a boring window, sidled by orchid leaves. Once I figured out how to use the features, it turned out pretty darn good and without all the fuss and muss of PS. Not saying Id use it to publish, but to play around and see what a shot might look like with different settings, the results are definitely good enough to share, or for screensaver, desktop, and I might event print a collage. No faults, until you get at the saving part. There the mess comes. Otherwise again, perfect.

You can get some amazing results with this app, I got it for $1 I want all of their apps :P FX Photo Studio is beyond Amazing (drool)

You can get cool colors, but you cant save the altered photo (only saves as grayscale) and the uploading doesnt work either. Another waste of money.

Great App! I have created sooo many great pictures with it. Definitely worth the price.

there are millions of cheaper alternatives. most of which are Free but this is stil the best 3 dollars i ever spent

It makes your colour pictures black and white and gives you a little paintbrush to go over areas that you want to turn back into colour. Nothing spectacular. And its too difficult to get the lines right unless you have a very steady hand. Like robot steady. They shouldve made it so that the brush recognizes edges. It might be ok if you zoom into your picture to the pixel level and colour it in that way so that you get nice sharp edges. Its too difficult to use because of this so I probably will rarely, if ever, use it.

For some reason, on my new MacBook Pro Retina, this app will not save or export the modified image. I normally wouldnt review but I cant contact the manufacturer and the program is useless to me.

This app is super simple to use! The more i play around with it the more i like it! Perfect for the average person who wants to add something different to their photos, no need for complicated technology or expensive programs. Cant beat the price!

The new name isnt good. The old one was much better!

This program is amazing. I was leery of downloading it because of what other reviewers had said about the inability to save. But after reading another review which said it wasnt the case, I thought Id try it for myself. Ive determined that those who cant save seem to be misunderstanding how to use it. I downloaded this about 10 minutes ago and have played around (crudely) and this program is relatively easy to use. I say relatively, because I have no design experience and I was able to make a photo "pop" like the sample photos, but I still need to play around to figure out some of the other options, such as changing the background to a colour scale, etc. I was expecting to have trouble saving - but that is not the case at all!! It is really easy to save. As a previous reviewer pointed out you have a couple of options: you can save and reopen with the program (which allows you to recolour what youve already coloured) OR you can save as another file format and open with Preview or use in a document. You can also export the photo to another program, such as Photoshop or iPhoto. Super easy. I cant believe this program was only $4.99! Well worth it. I am excited about all of the possibilities I have with this program because I make a lot of flyers and other publications. 5 stars! If you are thinking of buying this, please dont base your consideration on the inability to save- its not true!!
